This is a huge deal and immigration laws in dozens of states could be deemed to violate the Constitution. I remember some time back having seen a link where you could get the list of labors/I-140 for a particular employer. I am not sure if it is in http://www.flcdatacenter.com/ . Can some one point to the correct link where you could get the list of H1 or Labor or I-140s approved for an employer based on the company name?

Hi,
I apologize if I am asking a repeat question.
I received my green card a few months ago but my family haven't received their's yet. As a result they are still using EAD and/or Advance Parole documents. I am considering a job change and in that context I have two questions:
1. Are there any gotchas that I should be aware of - given that my family's cases haven't been approved yet.
2. If I do change jobs, can I apply for EAD and Advance Parole documents for my family on my own? Meaning, without going through the employer.

While filing I-485 do I have to choose which I-140 and PD to be used. Need your advise which one should I use,
1. I-140 approved with details as: PERM LC (EB3, PD Dec 2006).
2. I-140 pending (just filed) with details regular LC (EB3, PD Nov 2004).
Choices are:
A. Just file 485 with 140 with earlier PD(option2 ), and let both 140 and 485 continue.
B. File 485 with approved 140
C. Convert pending 140 into premium, and file 485. Is the extra $1000 justified for this?

Did any body renew thier EAD's recently?..instruction on page 12 says that the Filing fee of $340 is waived coe category C9...is that true..:confused:
Only for people who paid the new I-485 fee effective July 31st, 2007. Lot of the July 2007 VB filers (even in August 2007) paid the old fee, and have to pay the $340.

My 485 is pending and and I am still working on h1. I have EAD and advance parole, but do not want to use parole to go to canada (Wanted to save it for India trip). Do I have to take canadian visa to travel to canada for 3 days based on my currnet status. what is the process to take the visa?

1. I got laid off from company A last year. I was on H1B. Company A notified me about 1 month in advance so I had some time to find another job. I also had a valid EAD which I wasn't using at that time. They also did not cancel I-140.
2. I joined Company B using my EAD within the 30 day period, so I never went out of status. Also, I didn't file AC21
3. My GC application was approved in the first week of Aug.
I have a couple of really interesting opportunities that I would like to pursue. My job profile has been similar at both A and B and will likely be similar even in C should I join there. Am I required to work at B for any specific period of time before I can pursue these opportunities?

I am on L1 and my wife was working on L2 + EAD since Aug-2007 with her employer.
She got her H1B approved in Oct-2009 with the same employer - which means that she automatically moved to H1B, correct?
We went to India but she gave her L2 I-94 on departure and did not give H1B I-94
She entered back to US on L2 on 03-Jan so I am assuming that her status has been updated to L2 now.
Please advise if at all she needs to move to H1B again since her L2 EAD is still valid.
If she needs to move to H1B, then what is the best way, we can easily go to Meixco for stamping from LA.

just a tip not cool to hijack someone else' thread. on your question: If you are planning on being with the H1 sponsoring employer for the next few years no point renewing your EAD or AP. However they are two seperate filings. You don't need to have a valid EAD in order to apply for an AP renewal or vice versa. Hope this helps.

I received my 485 approval back in April 2008 & also received my physical card in next few months. I applied for my parents extension last month ( I-539) who are here for visit. It was filed in CA. My last H1B was approved in Oct 2007 from CA. Today to my surprise I see updates in extension case with no message change but update in my H1B approved case, with message saying that this case is reopened & the decision is being reviewed.
I think this is some kind of error. Has anyone experienced this ?

My company and lawyer refuse to talk to me or email me back.
I sent my completed package to the lawyer 2 weeks back, and I have not heard back from him.
The initial draft needs to be sent back by the lawyer for signatures and then the file can go out.
How do I hadle the situation?
sounds like your lawyer is getting 'instructions' from your company. I would just try to talk to your employer and work out a solution.

I'm looking to travel to Puerto Rico for a few days in July for my honeymoon but both my green card and passport have both expired. I have been in the US since 1988 and don't travel aboard very often so I overlooked this issue.
I have been told that I can travel to Puerto Rico with just a valid driver's license but don't want to take a chance of having them ask me for my passport and green card and then not being allowed back in the country. I would think that if they ask me if I'm a resident alien, they woudl want to see a non expired green card. I assume it is too late to go through the renewal process for both with just a few weeks left before my trip. I would love to know if I need to go through the renewal process for my passport, green card or both in order to fly to Puerto Rico or if I should just stick to US states.

I heard now they are issuing passports in less than a week.
If he has a GC he can still visit on his old country passport without any issues.

The doctor I went for Medical exam, he is not placing the 693 and supplement to 693 in the sealed cover. He is using his own form that I filled when I first went there and placing that form in the sealed cover.
Please suggest will INS accept any form other then 693?
I want to make sure what are the forms that need to be in sealed cover before I argue with the doctor.
I appreciate for your inputs.
